Ramona United Methodist Church is a reconciling congregation which means we are a part of the Reconciling Ministries Network. The mission of the RMN is “Living into our shared baptismal covenant, Reconciling Ministries Network equips and mobilizes United Methodists to resist evil, injustice, and oppression as we seek justice for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.”
As part of our Baptism and membership process, all United Methodists vow to resist evil and injustice in whatever forms they may find them. As a part of RMN, we are formally stating our long-held belief that injustice and oppression of any person based on age, appearance, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, family configuration, mental or physical health status, immigration status, economic situation, and life experience is wrong. As the denomination of The United Methodist Church and our society struggles with acceptance of our LGBTQIA+ neighbors, we at Ramona UMC are welcoming and affirming to all.
Individuals can also be a part of the RMN. If you feel personally strong about these issues, you are invited to check out this page on their website and join as an individual.
