Rev. Kristie Grimaud was appointed to our church in July of 2023. A
Birmingham, Alabama native, Pastor Kristie answered her call to ordained ministry in 2012 after serving in children’s, youth, and family ministry for five years at St Paul’s UMC in Coronado. She received her Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology in 2017. Pastor Kristie also received her Master of Arts in Writing from Oklahoma City University in 2001 and was an adjunct professor at several community colleges in Oklahoma. Pastor Kristie’s previous appointments include Associate Pastor at Foothills UMC in La Mesa (2020-2023) and Pastor at Chapel of the Hills in Descanso (2017-2020). Pastor Kristie and her husband, Andy, a native San Diegan, live in Poway with their teenage children, Micah, Cameron, and Elio.
